My first podcast ended in utter disaster after 8 months working on a team of professional producers from the likes of Vice and other production companies. At the time, I wished I had a step-by-step guide with best practices, and had been able to release my podcast in a much more rapid and streamlined way.
After that experience, I went off and collected hundreds of hours of interviews and workflow mapping activities with producers at production studios, companies large and small, and with indie producers. I also talked to numerous growth experts about the strategies and challenges of driving growth around podcasting. It not only helped me launch a podcasting company, but it made my second time around as a podcaster, much more seamless.
